Wearable Pokemon Accessory Delayed in September

Pokemon Go Plus: Wearable Pokemon Accessory Delayed Until September

The device was originally slated for a July release, but manufacturers have pushed the date back by a couple of months. Nintendo America confirmed the news via Twitter.

The accessory links up with the video game, buzzing and notifying you when a Pokemon is nearby. It will retail for $34.99, offering “new experiences to play Pokémon GO with Pokémon GO Plus with a quality level high enough to satisfy as many people as possible, we decided that it is necessary to take enough time for the completion,” said a company spokesperson.

The wearable device uses Bluetooth Low Energy when combined with a smartphone’s technology. The accessory has already sold out.

The delay is the result of the app update necessary to sync the device not being available yet.
